The Film

Pandemic: Facing AIDS is a powerful documentary film (produced by Moxie Firecracker Films, in association with The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and HBO) that follows the personal stories of people from five countries who are living with AIDS, cutting through the overwhelming statistics and putting a human face on the global epidemic. Award-winning filmmaker Rory Kennedy and her crew tell the stories of men and women from around the world coping with HIV and AIDS, and watch as they brave sickness, stigma, and even death with courage and strength.

The film will premiere at the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona, Spain, in July 2002. Screenings will follow at other prominent venues around the world, including the United Nations on World AIDS Day 2002 and on Capitol Hill in the spring of 2003.
